==== Call for Papers (Extended Abstracts) ==== It is our great pleasure to invite you to attend and contribute to the 9th International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Reliability (MMR2015) which will take place in Tokyo, Japan, on June 1-4, 2015, hosted by the Reliability Engineering Association of Japan. The MMR conferences serve as a forum for discussing fundamental issues on mathematical methods in reliability theory and its applications. It is a forum that brings together reliability engineers in various fields, quality and safety experts, statisticians and data scientists, from within a central focus on reliability. As a major international forum on reliability, it attracts increasing number of researchers from all continents of the world. === Topics of MMR2015 === The topics of the Conference include (but are not limited to): I. Probabilistic methods * Combinatorial & Graph methods (fault trees, binary decision diagrams, Petri-nets, etc.) * Stochastic processes * Markov & semi-Markov analysis * Stochastic Petri Nets * k-out-of-n systems * Consecutive k-out-of-n systems * Bound and Approximations * Phase type distributions * Failure Delay Systems * Risk & Safety assessment * Monte Carlo simulation * Computer-aided model generation II. Statistical models * Parametric, non-parametric and semi-parametric estimations * Lifetime data analysis * Reliability Big Data * On-Line Monitoring * PHM (prognostic health management) * Tests and accelerated tests * Return of experience * Bayesian Reliability estimation * Statistical modeling analysis of repairable systems III. Applications * Computational methods, computer-aided model generation, case studies and application software in technical systems: power engineering (power systems, thermal and nuclear power plants), electrotechnics (power apparatus), electronics and mechanics. === Submission === |Deadline:|December 31, 2014| We ask all delegates to submit his/her extended abstract in PDF format and also to [[https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=mmr2015|EasyChair for MMR2015]]. The templates for both LaTeX2e and Microsoft Word are prepared. Please follow the [[instruction_for_authors|Instruction for authors]] and submit your extended abstract to [[https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=mmr2015|EasyChair for MMR2015]]. === Time for each speaker === Invited sessions are 90 minutes - 3 talks in a particular session. * Plenary speakers: 45 minutes with 5 minutes discussion time (50 minute session) * Invited speakers: 25 minutes with 5 minutes discussion time (30 minute talk) * Contributed speakers: 15 minutes with 5 minutes discussion time (20 minute talk) Time for each session. * Invited sessions are 90 minutes. * Contributed sessions are 60-120 minutes. === Please Feel Free to Contact Us === If you have any questions, please send an email to [[mailto:concierge@mmr2015.org]] or a facsimile to fax:+81-42-443-5273.
